love me tender
Oh my, what a week it has been! It started with a nice birthday dinner, that ended with one child vomiting all night long, and then the other the following night. And of course there wouldn't be a better time for the laundry drain to bust open and leak into the wall! Yikes! I guess timing is everything. Of course the week continued with other small nuisance, but I’ll leave it at the major ones that continue to linger. Needless to say, my 36th year is not starting off so good. But I do have good things to celebrate and I’ll focus on those for now.
Somewhere in between all the laundry, dealing with plumbers and cuddling little ones with icky tummies I managed to drop off a few pieces at the Bankhead in Livermore for the Love Me Tender Exhibit. So if your are seeing Les Miserables this weekend or the Russian National Ballet or maybe Molly Ringwald (Yes, that Molly Ringwald from all your favorite 80’s movies by John Hughes! ) in February, be sure to check out the Love Me Tender exhibit. I have two framed prints on display, And Then It Rained and The Mother.
The exhibit will be up January 27 thru March 3 2015 in the Bankhead lobby and Founder’s Room. There will be a Reception February 22 from 2-4pm that is open to the public. The exhibit is in conjunction with the Tri-Valley Romancing the Arts Festival and all art sales benefit the Bothwell Art Center in Livermore. So Livermorians come out and support your arts!
