Second Shift: The Hunger
Last night was a full moon, so here is the next image in the Shift series called The Hunger. Originally I had planned an image in the snow but the story told just wasn’t quite right. So I reshot this last week in my kitchen. I have an old ice box in my kitchen that I having been wanting to work into an image, so this was the perfect opportunity. The Hunger is inspired by February’s Full Snow Moon, sometimes known as the Full Hunger Moon for it is the end of winter and typically the most snow fall and coldest time of the year making finding food difficult. This image represents that moment of desperation.
In other news, First Shift: The Wolf will be on display at the Bedford Gallery in Walnut Creek for the Peaceable Kingdom: Animals Real and Imagined exhibit that opens this weekend and runs through May 19th. I am extremely honored to be a part of this show. It’s a theme that I am very intrigued by and I look forward to seeing all the work in this exhibit. I cant wait to check it out! Hope you will too! k
